I just found out earlier this week that my kids made it into our school of choice. I spent the last 2 months of my life trying to get them to pass the admission process into this school. It was a very time intensive process. I had to write almost a dozen essays on various topics. In addition to providing a good amount of paperworks and documentations. Some of which, I had to jump through hoops to get. Because every department that I needed to go to obtain the requested paperworks, they are short of staff, have limited office hours, or closed temporarily due to Covid restrictions. And then on top of that my kids had to pass numerous academic tests. And that's not all, we also had to pass an interview with the school. And yes, they interviewed the whole family to see if we are a good fit. Which I respect because not everyone is a good fit for their academic curriculum and expectations. The admission submissions rate this year has increased by 10x from the last 5 years combined. So that added to much of my stress. Anyways, I am so glad that process is out of the way and we can look forward to a good school year ahead. I did this while working full time on my businesses and starting new ones. So it is doable, stressful, but doable.
