I just realized today that September will be next week! How did that happened? Where did summer go? Oh yeah, I spent it mostly indoors. Ha! I was able to do a little bit of traveling down to Las Vegas for a little bit and soak in some sunshine. And this time, it didn't rain like the last several times that I was there. We stayed off of the strip and it was so much more enjoyable. Far away from all of the craziness of the casinos and tourists. We rented a condo with a balcony and boy, I sure do love working on that balcony. It was so nice and breezy. Even though it was a work trip, I still managed to squeeze in some time with my family. It was my daughter's birthday, so we took her the Cheesecake Factory restaurant. If you guys have never visited this place, you should go (if there is one close by). Their menu is like a book! I am not joking, so I never know what to order because everything is always so delicious. And their Cheesecake is the Best too.
As an entrepreneur, it's hard to juggle life, kids, business, and fun. But it is very important to squeeze in some time too that is not business related. You'll be happier and healthier that way. That trip was a much needed fun and relaxation that I needed. And even though I brought my laptop and all of my work stuff with me, it was some good times. And I had to do a live presentation during the trip. And on the day and time of the presentation, I had to move from one hotel to another, and shuffling 2 kids and all of our stuff. You would never know that I had to do all of that behind the scene. That's what I call Juggling! But if I can do it, you can too (if you have to). It was a 2 days trip that turned into a week long trip due to business. And trying to schedule in business meetings back to back and keep the kids happy and situated too was a challenge. But being a mom has really prepared me to be a super multi-tasker. Anything is possible and you have to be flexible with change.
Ok, gotta run now. As soon as I am done with this email, I have to go to a company event :).
Many of you have written to me and told me that you have enjoyed me sharing a few glimpse and bits and pieces of my life and other businesses. And so I am trying to do that without oversharing. You will never see me being flashy, cocky, or bragging. It is not in my DNA to do so. I only share experiences that I think will motivate and encourage you. Again, my passion is uplifting people and being of service to others. I have several charity projects that are germinating. And I will share more about those when the time comes.
The Secret to getting more things done is keep going! You never give up and you never stop. Sure, you might take a day or two out to enjoy life and your family. There is NO secret to quick success or quick riches. The secret to success is hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. But that doesn't sound very appealing does it? That's why you see so many people who promises get rich quick schemes. And that is all it will be, schemes. So stop buying into those.
