Ok, let's catch you up to where we left off the last time. I must apologize to everyone who has been following me for a while for not writing and delivering my newsletter the last few weeks. Geez, has it been that long? For those of you who didn't know what happened to me, well, here is the short version... My whole family got sick with Covid, and I was busy taking care of everyone. I was the last to get it and I also got the worst symptoms. I had 8 straight days of high fevers and I was bed ridden. I also got Pneumonia right after Covid. It was back to back. I did have to go to the hospital towards the end because I couldn't breathe. Only to find out later that someone at my work cancelled my health insurance policy a few months prior after I had already renewed it, and didn't bother to notify me. Oh, don't you just love the corporate work environment! While all of this was going on, someone very dear to me passed away and I couldn't attend the funeral because I was so sick. After all that has happened, I was just so emotionally and physically burnt out. I just had to take some time out to take care of myself.
April and May have been a very tough month for many people, especially in our online community. A well known person in the online community had her whole basement flooded, had several failed appliances, and went days without hot running water. Someone else had their roof collapsed onto their kitchen. Another fellow content creator almost died and was hospitalized from Sepsis. And someone's child was hospitalized for over a week with a very serious health condition. And the list goes on and on. So I didn't want to write about what was going on with me because I didn't want anyone to think that I was whining. Life happens, and when it rains, it pours! We've all experienced burnout, emotionally, physically, mentally, creatively etc... A whole year of Covid has already taken a toll on all of us.
Many of you have written to me and have shared that you have been feeling less creative and life has been feeling a little "Blah" lately. Well, I just want you to know that if you are feeling that way, you are not alone. So if you are feeling this way, it is our body telling us that we need to take time out to take care of ourselves. Ask yourself what is going on in your life lately that is sucking the life out of you?! And a quick pick me up activity might simply be just going outside and bathe in some sunshine now that the weather is nicer and covid is less of a risk. But we all still need to stay safe and practice common sense to stay healthy. I was so careful and I still got covid. So you can never let your guard down.

But I'm not going to do that. Because money doesn't motivate me. What motivates me is seeing normal people achieve financial freedom.
