Are you making goals for yourself and your business? Do you know why you are making that goal? And are you making daily business decisions with that goal in mind?
Making goals for the sake having a goal is empty and a waste of time. You want to first start with asking yourself, what is your heart's desire? In a perfect world, what do you want? What must you do to help you achieve that vision? And be specific! For example, I want to be in the top 5% of sales in my niche. Or I want to buy a new house.
Now that you have that end goal in mind, you can ask yourself what is your stepping stones to get there? How much would I have to earn to get to my vision? What steps do I have to do to earn that much income? What can I do today to increase sales and customers? What can I do to increase traffic?
Once you start to break it down, do you see a path suddenly appears that makes that vision of yours more achievable? If any of your tasks for the day does not lead you to your vision, then don't do it! Those are tasks that usually sucks up our time the most and cause us to eventually procrastinate on other "money making" tasks.
Marketing tools can change but the processes hasn't change in over 30 years. Even with new technology coming out every single few months. The basic methods never gets outdated. What are the basic methods? Blogging, connecting with your customers, communicating with your customers, creating lead magnets, creating products and services that people want and need. Usually when I buy or invest in something, I always ask myself if that will save me time and money? It has to be both. Otherwise I don't get it. Because then the product will be useless in a few months. Or you'll never get to it because you are too busy either making the time or making the money needed to start.
