Leverage Your Time By Outsourcing The Product Creation Process

Info Products

One way to ensure that you create enough content for your business is to outsource. Outsourcing can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be an all or nothing proposition. You can outsource parts of the work or all the work. You can outsource to one person or too many people. It’s up to you.

The things that can be outsourced when it comes to product creation are:

Writing – You can hire writers to create original content for you. A writer can also edit PLR for you if you choose to use that too. A dedicated writer can save you a lot of time and help you focus more on planning in your business instead of working in your business.

Editing – Even if you do your own writing, it’s important to edit it. Editing your own writing is almost impossible. Hiring an editor can help you push your work to the next level. An editor can ensure that your work is unique, original, factually correct and grammatically correct.

Formatting – You can choose to outsource formatting. For example, let’s say you want to use 10 blog posts in an eReport that you’re going to sell later as an information product. You can hire someone to do all the formatting. You can ask them to grab the series off your blog, or you can provide them in a file to them to format and make pretty. They can also format any of your other info products.

Graphic Design – One of the easiest things to let go of when you first start outsourcing are graphics. There are numerous graphic design companies that don’t charge a lot for simple graphics. Do check out your designer to ensure that the images they’re using are legal for the use.

Landing / Sales Pages – Every writer is not good at writing sales copy. It’s a special type of writing that is different from content writing. Getting someone else to write your sales pages, and design them using your systems such as Leadpages.net or Instapage.com is a great idea because you’ll likely make more sales by hiring someone who is experienced and has a track record of success.

Shopping Carts – If you’re a jack of all trades, that’s great, but not everyone is. Shopping cart technology can be confusing and even stop some businesses from succeeding unless they bite the bullet and outsource this portion of their business.

Other Technology – Any type of tech that you need to use for your business can be confusing if you’re not technology minded and experienced. But no worries, there are plenty of people who are talented in this area. If you don’t know how to do it, and you have the funds, hire someone, you’ll be more profitable faster, so it will pay for itself.

Project Management – Once you have several people on your team doing various tasks, bits and pieces of the total work, then you may want to hire someone to act as a project manager. That way, you will simply send the ideas to them and they’ll ensure that the work is distributed properly and that deadlines are met.

You can outsource as much or little of each product you create. The best place to start is with things that you’re not good at doing. If you’re not proficient in a skill it will take longer for you to do it than it will for someone who is an expert. When you consider that your time is worth money anything you can outsource for less than you’re worth per hour you’ll be making a profit.

For example, let’s say that you make $50 dollars an hour. A writer may charge you 200 dollars for 10 articles or blog posts that you can turn into a product later. Let’s say it would take you five hours to write 10 articles or blog posts.

That means it’s worth $250 dollars to you in terms of the time it will take you. Having someone else do it earns you $50 because you end up with time to do something else such as planning, organizing, and directing your business.
