Marketing Your eBook

Ebook Content Marketing

Once you’ve created the book, collateral materials, and information you’re ready to market your book. Of course, you can and should start marketing the moment you’re creating the book and have the outline ready. The outline is a great catalyst to use for additional content for marketing.

You can cut and paste information directly from the book, edit it to make it slightly different but with the same message to use in all your marketing efforts. Marketing your eBook is about educating your audience about the problem, and then providing the solution to the problem in the form of the eBook.

You have a variety of platforms to use to market from such as:

Email Lists

Even if you have a very small email list, send information to the list about the book you’re creating by educating the list members about the problem, and talking about the solution you’re creating. Once it’s launch day, they’ll be ready to receive it.

Social Media

Whether it’s your page or groups, use them to talk to your audience about what you’re creating so that they can help you make it better. Plus, by talking about it with passion you’re creating a hungry audience who wants what you’re creating even before you’re finished making it.

Video

Create a video trailer about your eBook. This can be used to create an advertisement later but it can also become viral if the topic is interesting enough. For example, if you created a diet eBook, you could create a before/after montage or images of the food they can eat, or “Tasty” style videos of the recipes included in your eBook.

Blog Posts

Include blog posts about the problem, and the benefits of finding a solution to the problem. You can blog about everything from A to Z. The easiest way to determine what to say is to look at your outline and start from those subheadings as a way to create content that matches the book but also markets the book.

Paid Ads

Don’t discount using paid social media ads to market your finished eBook. Creating an advertisement can not only help sell eBooks but it can also help build your list if you add a pop-up or slide to get people to sign up for your email list whether they buy the book or not.

Affiliate Marketing

If you have or want to have affiliates help you market your book, always ensure that you create the right type of marketing help and directions to make their job easy. Graphics, specialty branding for super affiliates, blog posts, email marketing series, great sales pages, specialized landing pages, webinars, and so forth are all ways to help your affiliates make the most inroads to selling your product for you. Many marketers have created special affiliate only Facebook Groups to help teach them to market the products too.

Once you develop this material, move into starting to market the eBook with some recommendations and places to start including email your list, social media, and promoting/ recommending the paid product in all the content pieces you used to promote it. You can go back to the blog post you created prior to the finish of the book and add a link to the finished product’s sales page to make those posts even more effective.
