Recommending Other People’s Products To Your Customers On Autopilot

Finetuning Your Marketing

The best thing about email marketing is that you can set a lot of it up on autopilot. It may take a few weeks to buy or create the content you need and get it set it up to deliver to your list members automatically, but it’ll keep working for you for years to come if you plan it right.

Segment Your Email List Members Properly

Everything you do with the list members relies on proper segmentation. You don’t want buyers of product A to keep getting product A promotions. You don’t want to bore your list members. You want to send valuable information that compels them to open every email, and you can’t do that if you’re not segmenting properly. Depending on the autoresponder you buy, you’ll be using tagging or other types of segmentation to ensure that the right people get the right message at the right time.

Map Your Existing Evergreen Content to Your Marketing Funnel

Use your product or marketing funnel to map the content you have to the way your funnel is set up. For some that will be organizing the products in order of the level they are, or the order you want your buyers to purchase them. For others, it’ll be totally based on the intent of the customer.  If you know what customer the content is for, then you can match any offer to it too.

Find Offers That Your Audience Will Want Based on Their Problems

Now match up the products and solutions you want to offer to them based on the problems they solve. You should end up with a document that lists all your content, all your solutions, and the customer that will want the offer and the information in the content.

Optimize Your Calls to Action

Once you have matched the product to the content to the customer, you’ll want to ensure that the CTAs you include will get a positive response. This is also a perfect time to test out different CTAs. You can add the message to your autoresponder more than once with various headlines and CTAs, even though it’s the same content.

Set Up Email Messages in the Autoresponder

Once you have it all organized, create a list of autoresponder messages with the right links to the content and the CTAs. Load them into your autoresponder a few times so that it goes out more than once to the audience that needs it. Remember that if they do answer the CTA, they’ll be tagged and moved so that they won’t keep getting that message.

The more you can do to automate any of your marketing, the more money you’re going to make and the more time-freedom you’re going to have. Don’t be afraid to send offers to your email list. Yes, sometimes people will unsubscribe due to the messages you send. However, you don’t want people on your email list that will never buy from you because you can’t really help them in the same way you can those who are willing to buy. Once the evergreen offers are set up, you can then focus on other types of products and services without the stress of wondering when you’ll make the money as it will already be flowing in.
