Make Yourself Available for Interviews, Webinars, Q&A Sessions, and the Like

Boost Your Affiliate Program Challenge

Your affiliates need to know that you’re there to help them succeed. The more available you are to them, the more they trust you. The more they trust you, the more they’re going to promote you and spread that trust to their audience. You should say yes to interviews, webinars, Q&A sessions, and whatever they want to do but with some criteria to help you avoid spending too much time with affiliates who don’t send much traffic.

Create a Launch Calendar

First, you want to have a launch calendar so that all your affiliates are aware of what’s coming out months from now. The longer you can create the timeline for, the better - but at least three to four months in advance is best. This gives the affiliates time to choose to promote your products based on their own goals for the year.

Create a VIP Affiliate Segment

Segment your VIP affiliates out of the crowd. Anyone who is in the top 20 percent of your sales force should be on the VIP Affiliate Team. You can create an exclusive email list and invite them to it, letting them know that they are in the top 20 percent. You can also, with some email systems, tag them based on their behavior and performance instead of creating a new list.

Develop Training for New Affiliates

You don’t want to leave out your newer affiliates. You never know who in that segment can be your next super star super affiliate. Like you, everyone starts somewhere, and everyone was new once. Giving them access to training in the form of video content, written content, and so forth is a good thing to do. You can even let them know in that training about the VIP Affiliates and how they can get there someday.

Set Up a Calendar for Self-Scheduling

To schedule interviews, webinars, and so forth during the launch, set up a calendar that you give the link to for the VIP affiliates to sign up. Keep the sign ups a little tight. You can always let people in later if you want to. But showing filled time on your calendar will encourage them to hurry up and take advantage of the offer.

Set Up Autoresponder Email Messages

For all affiliates, you’ll want to send educational, informative, and motivational email messages. Set up messages for every segment of your list based on what you want them to accomplish. For example, if a new affiliate signs up, they should get a welcome, a training link or packet, plus a suggestion for something to promote right now.

It’s important that you set this up so that all your affiliates have a chance to succeed whether they’re new or not. However, it’s okay to have criteria for the one-on-one time that you will spend in interviews, on webinars, Q & A sessions, and so forth. If you’re open about that criteria and still give training to new affiliates, it will motivate them to do better so they can move up the ladder and get VIP treatment as an affiliate of yours.
