Expand on Topics that Prove They’re Working

Tap Into Whats Already Working in Your Business

Every website has content that performs well and gets more traction. Some topics have more success than others and the content that’s getting attention can offer clues about what’s working. If you’ve got a topic, or topics, that are getting more traffic and engagement, congratulations! It’s time to expand on the topics that are working. Here’s how-

Maximize the theme- If you have a concept that’s getting a lot of traction, create additional content on the topic. You can expand on elements one at a time creating new content that adds value. Interlink the content to boost SEO and make it easier for readers to access complimentary material. An example could be- a post written about the benefits of a low-fat diet may be getting a lot of traffic. Consider creating additional content that goes deeper into the subject. Ideas could include: recipes for low-fat dishes, pantry staples for a low-fat kitchen, tips to kickstart a low-fat diet, mindset tips that help people on a low-fat diet, and so on. Each new post is an expansion of what’s already working and adds value to your customers and readers.

Engage social media- Your social media is a key compliment to your web content. Using platforms like Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and even TikTok can help you promote your most popular content in new ways. Linking back to your highest-ranking content can boost what’s working to the next level. An example could be- Creating eye-catching Pinterest pins that promote relevant content on your site.

Collaborate with other content creators- Interlinking content boosts rankings and reach. Connecting with other content creators who compliment and add value to your high-performing posts makes sense. You can co-create content or promote one another to help increase exposure to each other’s audiences. If you don’t have a personal relationship with a creator who is crushing a similar or complimentary topic to yours, refer to their work in a post and link to it. Be sure their links are solid and their content is relevant and current.
